The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC – NCKB in Czech) and the Strategic Affairs and Engagement Division are the executive sections of the National Cyber and Information Security Agency (NÚKIB). The sections oversees:

  • The activities of the Government CERT Czech Republic (GovCERT.CZ)
  • Prevention of cybernetic threats to critical infrastructure elements, basic service information systems, important information systems, and selected public administration information systems
  • Resolution of and coordination of resolutions to cybersecurity incidents at critical infrastructure entities, operators of basic services, and public administration bodies
  • Awareness and educational activities concerning cybersecurity
  • Cooperation with national and international organizations that participate in securing cyberspace
  • Organizing and participating in cyber security exercises at the national and international level
  • Cyber security research and development
  • Representing the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Director’s Office at international organizations active in cybersecurity
  • Evaluating cybersecurity risks and taking the appropriate corrective and preventive measures
  • Fulfilling international obligations and cooperating at the international level in implementing regulations stemming from Czech membership in NATO, the EU, and other international organizations within its jurisdiction as part of the Agency’s security policy
  • Defining the Agency’s cybersecurity communication strategy in cooperation with other organizational units at the Agency
