The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC – NCKB in Czech) is the executive section of the National Cyber and Information Security and Agency (NÚKIB). The National Cyber Security Centre oversees:

  • Activities by the Czech Government CERT (GovCERT.CZ) team
  • Works to eliminate cyber threats to critical infrastructure elements, basic services’ information systems, significant information systems, and selected public administration information systems
  • Management and coordination of solutions to cyber security incidents at critical infrastructure elements, basic service operators, and public administration bodies
  • Cyber security awareness and educational activities
  • Cooperation with international organizations that contribute to increasing security online
  • Organizing and participating in cyber security exercises at the national and international level
  • Cyber security research and development
  • In cooperation with the Directorate, it represents the Czech Republic in the bodies of international cyber security institutions
  • Cyber security and the implementation of relevant corrective and preventive measures
  • To the extent of the activities in the Agency’s security policies, the fulfilment of international obligations and international cooperation when fulfilling regulations mandated by membership of the Czech Republic in NATO, the EU and other international organizations
  • Sets the Agency’s communication strategy in the area of cyber security in cooperation with organizational units within the Agency
